This really needs to be part of the Facebook app. Really annoying to have two apps.

I never wanted this app but to access my fb messages I had to download it...

I deleite my Messenger n now i wanna it back n Apple say cant upload this app they need my billing account coz i need pay for my app. !!!! I want my Messenger back but i dont wanna pay

The latest update has introduced a bug with the notifications settings - I have every possible notifications option turned on and yet I can only see new messages if I am in the app. This is unacceptable for a platform of this size.

IM NOT RECEIVING NOTIFICATIONS WHEN PEOPLE MESSAGE ME!!!

Forced to have this annoying waste of space to look at my messages. Great.

The app is great but the thing is that I set my phone on to "Do Not Disturb" mode and yet it still sounds. Please fix this problem

The advent of this app took a perfectly functioning in-app messaging system and made it into a glitchy, forced app change mess. Messenger needs to die, and the sooner the better.

The app is good and everything, but ever since yesterday, its been giving me problems. I havent been receiving push notifications so I dont know when I have messages. I have every alert on, Ive tried restarting my phone, yet nothing works. I even downloaded and reinstalled the app and still nothing. Not only that, but on another phone, it doesnt work there either. Please fix this.

If I video chat from message on my cell phone to my friends messenger on her cell phone will it show up on my Verizon cell bill?

When this works it works fine but when it does things like close immediately after opening for forcing you to re login after you just came out the app. Its a burden and completely unnecessary. Gonna delete and just use the safari instead.

They havent worked for a few days and its getting frustrating. I have all the settings set to what theyre meant to me and I only get the messages if Im actually on the app itself. This is annoying. Please fix it or Im getting rid of the app all together.

Would have this problem once in a while but since the latest update its a constant issue now that Im not getting my notifications for messenger and the only way I know I got a message is when I open the app. This is very irritating! I have the notifications on n rebooted my phone n everything just to realize its just an issue with the app. A fix asap would be nice!

after updating app on 4/26/16 I no longer receive notifications for my messages. all are turned on from settings and from app settings themselves. please fix asap this is very frustrating

Notifications and notification alert sound not working all of a sudden. Also i dont understand the seperate messenger app integration. Merge the two back

I noticed that one of my friends in messenger, the speech bubble has changed to pink instead of blue! How did that happen? I read up on it in google and it said theres a new update for it and it will appear in the settings! According to my phone...im up to date and there is no settings for changing the colour or nick names...im confused. When is it going to change? As i prefer the pink instead of the blue...

The existence of this as a separate app is inconvenient and frustrating. Please reincorporate messaging into the regular Facebook app. Facebook already owns WhatsApp, so why is it pushing a WhatsApp ripoff at the cost of reducing the functionality of the main Facebook app? I want to consolidate my messaging over fewer platforms, not spread it out over more, redundant platforms. This app makes my life worse.

When I send messages, it doesnt say they got delievered, just "sent" and when I send or receive photos, theyre blurry. Very frustrating.

Its great but the reason Im giving one star is because people can remove the leader of a group chat even if the leader doesnt want to be removed
