Since your last update, Messenger is no longer notifying me of new messages, which frankly defeats the ENTIRE point of the app. (And yes, Ive double-checked my settings.) Please fix.

First comes first why would you make a separate app for messenger when its part of Facebook ??? The app always shows new false messages ... The fact thats its a separate app is ridiculous .. App is flawed and I removed it from my phone !!

When I send messages a lot of the time they will send and not deliver. The check mark bubble stays not colored in. It just says sent. Never delivered. Why?

No reason that this app needs your contact list it should only be for Facebook friends list its a scam key logger just like Microsoft is doing in Windows 10

I hate the messenger app. I hate that the notification symbol doesnt go away when Ive read it. I hate that I have to see that notification symbol in the Facebook app. I hate that the messenger tab on the Facebook app automatically takes me to a whole new app when I accidentally click it. Messenger is terrible and Facebook is terrible for making me download two apps just to use their social media site.

Notify only once, when the app was opened; dont show the notification number. It just forces me to seen a message that I dont even want to be seen. Please do this as soon as possible. It annoys me. I know most of us feel the same way.

I love the Messenger app, but having it on an iPhone can be annoying when I have to switch apps every time I reply to a message. I think the chat bubbles would be useful.

Love the innovation, but the new bots have my PC a virus - Facebook get your bugs out!

This app is very inconvenient. It makes more sense to use it in the Facebook app itself. Also, the Facebook app should remove the messenger tab if we cannot access messenger directly on the app. This is a dumb tool so that Facebook can make an un-necessary profit.

I use Facebook Messenger on a daily basis and it is my main messaging servicec but only because all my friends are on it. The sole reason I even wrote this review was that now in the photo selector it takes around 10 seconds from the moment I press the send button to the moment it comes back to the chat. It may be a new compression algorithm, but I do not care. It gets on my nerves. Every update seems to break the apps functionality in different ways and the fact that Facebook remains very secretive with their update descriptions does not help at all.

Anytime I open the app , it ask me for my phone number . I put it in multiple times but anytime I open It it ask for it .

Go to hell Facebook and stop asking me to install messenger

Cant switch back and forth between messenger and the Facebook app anymore, what a ridiculous drag to have to get out of the messenger app to get back to Facebook. Why did you have to mess up something so simple and extremely useful. Whats wrong with all these software engineer teams or is it the behavioral modification team that gets its jollies creating ways to make things worse and frustrate your free data pool?

I would give this app zero stars if I could. This is the worst app Ive ever had the misfortune of having to interact with. Absolutely no respect for my privacy or desires when it came to the permissions I set for the app. Asked me to change every one of them each time I opened the app. Facebook needs to get its act together, shut down this joke and put messaging back in the Facebook app.

Dont get me wrong, its a great app. But it just needs some changes that would be greatly appreciated. Adding support for 3dTouch would be really useful. Also, please change that ANNOYING notification sound. Or let us pick from our own.

I have plenty of room and it wont download. Its very annoying.

Update 4/29/16: what the heck, FB?? Now NONE of my conversations load? You really do not listen to people, do you?

Tired of the app consistently asking for access to phone features that I chose not give it access to. All I want is a simple way to message people on Facebook. I dont need notifications or want to give the app photo or mic access. The constant nagging just makes people want to delete the app. The majority of people only use it because its too inconvenient to load messenger on a web page. So why not appease some of these disgruntled users and stop nagging them for information that they do not want to share.

Itll tell me I have a message but wont open at all I can click it over and over still nothing tried reinstalling still nothing
