Why is everything linked to your mobile device? I have random people on my friends list calling me even when I have notifications turned off!! I dont like that it goes on my personal phone call log!? We should be able to sign out too! And texts coincide with messenger messages wth!?? I am deleting this app!

Facebook was good for communicating with my friends from all over the world. Now its just good at being annoying. I dont need it to try to use my camera or mic all the time. If I wanted that I would call my friends or visit. I dont have snapchat for a reason, now I wont use messenger for the same reason.

Liked the messenger before which is like the name said, MESSENGER! Now its like it is focusing on taking photos and videos... bad decisions. I gotta say bye.

Absolutely cannot stand how swiping down drops you into video mode.

I really dont like the fact that this is the only way the message anyone. I installed the app but it keeps closing right away...

Ever since this new update, whenever i try to record and send a voice message, the app says that the message contains a virus and cannot send it.

Facebook has a gun to the head of my conversations. Im using this app under duress. Someone help.

Please allow ppl to log out of messenger and in as needed and just sync it with the facebook.

I dont understand why Facebook decided they had to ruin an app that they force me to use. *Update* ,* it gives me a notification when I have no new messages, I cannot get rid of it. I expect a lot better from Facebook.* Now that Facebook is becoming obsessed with video, Im liking it less and less. I refuse to use the tab on the Facebook app and its awful here. Now I get notifications that I get messages, but theres no wayv to see them because I cant tell it to refresh... It just opens ducking video. If I wasnt to record a video, I can. I will never record it from the app. My best friend said that its because they want to compete with snap-a-gram or something. I use Facebook because it isnt Instagram or Snapchat. I hate how much videos were dominating my Facebook newsfeed already, and think junk is just making it so much worse. AND PREVENTING MESSENGER FROM DOING ITS ONE JOB- messaging!

Update turned app into a really bad snapchat knockoff.

The camera/Snapchat integration has ruined a UI which was just fine before

Wasnt sure what was the point of the app in the first place to be honest, but whatever, I downloaded it because I needed mostly the messenger aspect of Facebook. But this update really takes the cake for just sucking. I mean, it constantly lags on me and it has this stupid new Snapchat wannabe feature that I dont even care about because I dont even really use Snapchat either. Facebook, just integrate the Facebook and messenger app or at least just revert back to the previous update for the messenger app then because this is just annoying.

I dont ever write reviews, but this right here is probably the worse app idea ever. Who in the right mind would think of needing an app for another app? Oh wait, Facebook does. This app is irrelevant and not worth the time and space. Before you could get away from using the app if you use a browser, now they make it MANDATORY, which is stupid AF.

This newer version crashed three times when I opened it.

The messenger was perfect before, but now its a complete mess. Youre not snapchat, stop trying to be.

messenger was such a simple easy thing and now the camera thing that im never gonna use is always popping up if i swipe left, swipe right, etc etc i dont like this update at all

For the love of god just stop updating. It does not need these new features. The camera now stays on in the background -when unequipped- which is unnecessary and makes all users more susceptible to being spied on. **Remove the -Scroll to Take a Photo- function immediately.

This upgrade ruin everything in Messenger. Full of bugs. Poor UX. unread messages appear below instead of topmost where they should be.y day something is confused and useless feature.

Useless camera option....why would we want your random camera features in the *MESSENGER* app....the only reason people use messenger is because you took the chat option out of Facebook. These new features are stupid. Stop trying to be like snapchat.
