we were fine with the messages before this dumb app, like why separate the 2?

All I can say is that its very good. My messages are sent instantly and replies too are gotten back quickly . So I would say its a brilliant app ......,

Honestly guys, I love this app. I really like how you can message anyone, even if they dont have a facebook account or a phone. For those of you who are saying "Whats this for? I already have a messaging app built in!", not everyone has unlimited texts. What if I want to message someone over wifi? There you go. Messenger does all that.

I cant delete messages by sliding to the left anymore! I have to go in and delete them one by one ????

Forces you to enable the notification. Also drains the battery life.

This app is forced upon you to download if you want to view any messages. Even if you try to use safari and login to FB it still requires the messenger app- EVEN THROUGH A "WEB" BROWSER!?! A pointless app that takes up my space. Shame on Facebook! This only benefits those looking to chat instantly, while this originally had a email like feature.

Very useful since my husband works overseas however it doesnt work to well on my Apple Watch.

This app is continuosly lag and my iphone is crazy.

Can you guys please get rid of the today feature in the Messenger app? At least, make it so that we can hide it. It is currently in accessible. I am totally blind, and use voice over to access apps on my iPhone.

Why and why is it a separate app. Hate it.

I never gave much thought to the Facebook Messenger app until they redesigned it. I still cant get out of the habit of swiping down, because in Facebook and some other apps, this refreshes the feed. But Messenger set up this action to open my camera. I hate, hate, hate this aspect of the design.

Dependable app. Id use this more if it wasnt for the built in text app that comes with the cell phone.

I love messenger great app one of the best apps in messaging technology.

I like it an even love it at times. I love that its so easy to use and its not confusing at all. Its a really great way to talk to all the people I dont see or have much to do with in life. So thats totally a 100% plus for me. What I dont like about messenger is when I get a message and it shows what the message says on my lock screen so that anyone who gets onto my phone or iPod can ready what my message says. I love it when it just says I have a message from the person. I dont like that it tells me what the message says right there on my lock screen. Other than that one thing so far Ive loved it! So I give it 5 fn stars

I probably use Messenger more sometimes than my actual phone texting. And def use it with video chat more than FaceTime; however, I feel like the sound quality and reception is better with FaceTime than with Messenger Video Chat. (Does that even make sense?) Also, sometimes I wish I could customize the alert sound that comes with the app but its not a big deal really. Over all I enjoy this app and am grateful for it since it bridges the gap for those who dont have an iPhone (really Android, people? jk) but do have wifi.
