Terrible and unecessary app. Bring messages back into the facebook app..............

I love messenger a lot Im glad I can call friends and family and theres filters take take photos with etc! One thing that would make it extremely awesome is if messenger high "night mode" just like Twitter!??? Id go insane! It would be ridiculously awesome, especially when its night time and you dont want the bright white chat shining on your face, even if the brightness is low. Black would be cool??

142 mb?? Why? Why its still that slow???

...which is what happens when you cant see your messages on the regular Facebook app.

This app is now unbearably slow on launch and messaging. I welcome new features and experiments but when they negatively affect the apps core functionality of actually communicating with people, I am reminded of why I only use this app as a last resort.

Never works, completely ridiculous we have to have this app to access messages when half the time it wont even open.

The app keeps messing up. It deleted itself from my phone and when I tried to download it back onto my phone. Its wanting to charge me. I thought this was supposed to be a FREE app!!!!! Im very upset I use this app to talk to my family out of state. If its free then why charge people

New messages do not show up, mentions not working either. :/

I cant log out of messenger to switch accounts on an iPhone which is really annoying. Does anyone know how to log out?

I have hated this app since its separate conception from Facebook app. Seriously its so irritating to have to switch between apps if you just want to quickly chat to someone! It also glitches with EVERY NEW UPDATE! Patch notes? Nah, we dont have to explain ourselves, because you can **** off if you dont want to play our reindeer games. I hate it. I ALWAYS HAVE. But I have to freaking use it to talk to people! Thats ridiculous. Rant over. Not really. I just got myself SO FIRED UP JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS PILE OF DIAPERS OF AN APP

Messenger needs to also give users the option to update their profile picture.

It says its downloaded on my phone which its not and I dont know how to delete it completely

Incredibly unnecessary that Facebook makes its users download a separate app for messages, especially when it only does things that can be accomplished with FaceTime, Snapchat, or just texting/DMing. It simply rips off ideas from other platforms. But I dont care about all that. I care about it LEAVING AN IMMORTAL NOTIFICATION ICON ON MY OTHERWISE FLAWLESS AND NOTIFICATION FREE SCREEN. IT WONT GO AWAY I would tell you not to download this, but its pretty much required for the regular Facebook app. A true tragedy

Why cant I see older messages? I can only see like the past 10 days ? Whyyyyyy? Please FIX THIS

I cant wait for Facebook to die and something better to come along. The only reason they force people to have two apps is so they leave one open and they can data mine all your information. Their terms and services are the craziest of any company. They know everything you have done on your phone.

It seems the only notification sound is the original and annoying "Ding". I owned several other smartphones like Samsung Galaxy and LG. I was able to change the notification sound. I find it extremely annoying that this isnt an option on iOS. Please fix!
