The typing dots no longer work when someone is typing a message to me. Was working fine for me before this last update. PLEASE FIX

At 145MB, this app is way too large for what it does. Facebook is arrogant to think that they can just keep increasing the size of all of their apps and raft we will not notice or care. Well, I think we will soon be at a breaking point. 145MB for a MESSAGING app is just ridiculous.

The level of personal information this app is able to collect is frightening. Avoid using it all costs unless you dont mind Mark Zuckerberg knowing everything about you.

I dont know what happened with the latest update but its frustrating! I cant see my saved photos that Im trying to send! The app is pretty much a daily thing and it use it about as much as the iPhones built in messaging so not being able to send these picture is getting pretty annoying. Fix it please!

Get ready to feel invaded by whoever wants to push the camera button and see you. This update doesnt allow you to accept video calls at your discretion. If the caller wants to video chat once you accept the phone call all they have to do is push the camera button and without your permission the video pops up. Im glad I found this out with someone I trusted. What an invasion of privacy!!!

Why dont the message alerts on Apple watch go away after youve seen them? This app monopolizes the watch display unless you disable it.

Besides being even more bloated than any instant messenger app should ever be, I cant open YouTube links unless the YouTube app is installed. It takes me right to the App Store to download it. This is absolutely ridiculous! Just open the link in Safari if the YouTube app is not installed. Not that hard.

The current version of this application seems to have jumped its battery usage in only a matter of minutes. Rising over 10 to 12% more battery usage. Instead of loading a Messenger down with features that very few people use in some miss guided attempt to be competitive, how about working on the experience of your application?

BS. I Dont understand why we cant just go to our messages and access our full facebook account UNLESS we download this app.

Why is this app so huge?! I dont understand how it hogs so much space to begin with and then only grows from there. Other apps with very similar features run so much smaller. I dont know what the guys over here are doing to not be able to trim this down as well.

I just want to be able to turn my read receipts off/on give me that option

Once Ive added someone whos not my friend to my messenger, Im unable to delete them from my contacts list. I can see when theyre active or not which i dont like. Pls add some kind of feature to delete them.

I dont see the problem with it, to be perfectly honest. I dont know why people dislike separate apps for messaging and FB newsfeed..doesnt it make sense to yall? Oh well. 5 stars ✨ in my opinion. Could use an update, which is when the a friend of yours on Facebook changes their profile picture, messenger should change it instantly as well. My messenger takes forever to change a persons profile pic. Another thing is , I have this friend where hes active, but it always says active 1m ago and I hate it. I always refresh this app, but to no avail. Messenger needs to be more accurate.

I really dont like it upon updating it deleted all my msgs :/

I dont even want to give this any stars. Seriously we need two apps for Facebook and messaging. Stupid design. No hope for this app.
