You need to have an option to delete various messages all at once rather than one by one. Its extremely tedious.

Why the hell would you make it so that you have to install another app just merge the two together ffs

I love messanger but today my Iphone said I need to update. So I tried and it kept failing, all my other updates did fine. So I deleted Facebook messager and tried to reinstall but that didnt work either. So now I cant get messages from Facebook friends. I know its not my phone. So fix it Facebook.

Im not liking the new updates I like the old one ... an don iPhone I cant not make a app downgrade or not to update ... to much updates make me confused

One of the easiest to use.

The app is improving but it changes to often, un addition takes too much space on my phone and sometimes it gets slow. Besides that, a really useful app.

No version history no god rating.

Once in a while the app needs adjustments to work normally on Apple Watch. Very annoying! Please fix for Apple Watch!

The refresh when swiping down to a camera that resembles snapchat. I can no longer refresh as i normally would. No one uses the camera and if I didnt talk to people every minute of the day on messenger, I would be deleting the app. The app now switches between inboxes whenever someone sends me a message even when im half way through typing a message to someone else. It is almost random when it chooses when to put me in a different inbox. A big problem ive noticed a few updates ago (which isnt that long ago) is that it will always tell me i have at least one unread message when I dont. This has become annoying since i would send a message to my gf and it still would say I havent read her message even though I was the last one to send something. It has become apparent that these updates are just to clear the bad ratings and its very clear that facebook does not read what their users want. No one wanted two apps, no one wanted messenger to be like snapchat, and no one defiantly wanted a messenger app that is over 500mb. I am pretty sure all the people who give this app 5 stars are paid raters. Theres a story now, I mean "my day" thing. All these new updates NO ONE WANTS. Facebook is a prime example of a company that doesnt listen to what the users want. ACTUALLY TELL US WHAT YOU CHANGED FOR THE UPDATES! UPDATE: The updates are ridiculous now, I lost all trust in facebook, updating without telling their users what they are doing in the update, im leaving messenger for good

Notifications are not received when "do not disturb" is on, which is good; however, the Facebook messenger phone calls come through. This is unacceptable.

Games? I dont want game notifications. Its bad enough you have them in regular Facebook! And they dont delete! I can delete any message in a thread (at least on my side) EXCEPT a stupid game notice that my friend probably never sent. Real Notifications are late and can pop-up mid-conversation! Ive already seen this, no need to tell me its here. Stupid app cant even caption a picture like the web version could. Updates erase all your downloaded stickers (which also cant be sent with text). Just when it looks like theyve managed to ruin this app, they find a way to make it even worse.

Why why why? This will always be a one star app for me and puts me one step closer to dropping Facebook.

I appreciate the ongoing changes made to improve this app but the lack of release notes is just lazy. You can do better!

You used to be able to swipe on the message to delete it but you cant anymore. Fix this for iOS!

The app is ok but annoying when there is a message notification on the mobile facebook site(using safari). You cant just push it and be taken to the app. It takes you to a screen then to app store so you still have to manually choose messenger. Also, its pretty annoying that it constantly asks you to link your contacts list. I have thousands of contacts in my phone and do not need them in my messenger. It is good for what it is worth. Contacting someone to get their phone number so you can text them. ?

They put this stupid active people on the top of the messages and no way to turn it off.

Its crazy stupid how I get notifications from messenger when ever I add anyone as a friend saying, "I have an unread conversation".Its inconvenient because I dont talk to people on Facebook thats what snapchat is for lol but its really stupid that youll be forced to download this app.
