I cant even open the app now. Srsly?

Shouldnt be forced to use this. Cant even open messages on my safari cuz I need download the app. Kinda bogus if I do say so my self

How about releasing an update that allows you to turn off read receipts in messenger???

it just takes up space , and its annoying how i cant just see who messaged me in safari or something, i have low space one my phone and hardly use this app, i need it Sometimes , maybe , so why do i have to have it .

Been having problems with messenger, it keeps saying cant load conversations so therefore I cant see any of the new messages I have without clicking on every message to see if any of them say anything new !

I loved this app until I realized it was storing people in my phone that I didnt and dont know. I have a decent amount of people in my contacts list that I havent got a clue who they are and no way to delete them. Now I have people mad at me because my back pocket somehow messaged them....

The notifications received dont work at times. Sometimes the phone lights up with no notification or vibration.

Updated earlier today and now it keeps beeping that I got a message and there isnt any! I have to put my phone on vibrate because it got annoying!

My notifications for Messenger are turned on, but theyre not at a level that FB feels is acceptable, so the Messenger app keeps telling me that I need to turn my notifications on. THEYRE ON. Get over it you controlling jerks.

Lets see what FB security can do this time to beef up the back end?

There is a new feature that pops up while youre in a message alerting you of what friend has just come online. Its annoying. The only way to turn it off is to go into each individual messenger profile and turn it off under their settings. Absolutely ridiculous. There should be a way to turn off the entire feature if someone doesnt want to use it. These new features being forced are annoying.

But really, like everyone else says, why do you need a separate app for messages? Maybe part of a grander plan down the road? Also this app slowly gets bigger and bigger over time taking up more space on your phone which doesnt come with much space to begin with, thanks guys for no cache clear option. That would be cool. Maybe.

Pretty good but wanted it to have Unread functionality

Funny how Facebook keeps trying to hide their bad reviews with "updates" that provide no clue what was actually updated. Just keep giving us unwanted bloatware that should be part of the core app....

Whered that feature go? Why cant we delete conversations like we could before the latest update? I dont need (or want) weeks old conversations clogging things up. Please fix. Update 4/21/17...yet another update, and still no way to delete conversations. Please PLEASE restore this feature. Update 6/15/17...see above. Lets get this issue resolved. Update: 8/10/17...see above, yet again! Cmon, Facebook...please LISTEN to what your users are asking of you. Several updates ago we lost the Delete Conversations feature. This was a very convenient feature. Please restore it! And, when you issue an update, please tell us what the update contains. You use the same paragraph over and over and over and it tells us absolutely nothing about the update.

More clutter for a cluttered world. Functional. Could be part of the main FB app but no.

if you change your profile pic or name it doesnt update on messenger only on facebook app and desktop

*** with this new feature of the waving hand I cant see if people read my message... & its only for active friends which I feel like is counter productive bc those would be the people Id need to see the read receipts for. Is there at least a way to disable this ? ??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️
